Reconstruction, documented

Not what we know about human evolution — but which decisions stand behind each reconstructed hominin fossil, which variants were tested and rejected, and what remains open.

A reconstruction without its alternatives is a result. With them, it is a judgment that can be examined, taught, and disagreed with. A rejected variant is the only form in which such a judgment can be stored.

Case material for research and for teaching the nature of science. In preparation.
